The Van Gogh Sites Foundation is not only an ANBI foundation but is also formally designated by the tax authorities as an ANBI Cultureel (ANBI stands for ‘Algemeen Nut Beoogende Instelling’, or ‘Public Benefit Organisation’). A donation to a cultural ANBI offers additional tax benefits: for example, you can claim your donation as a deduction on your income tax or corporation tax return. Thanks to the ‘Geefwet 2012’, you may even be able to claim a deduction for more than the actual amount you donate. These tax benefits depend on the donor’s personal circumstances. The conditions also differ for private individuals and/or companies (NV or BV).
ANBI status
The Van Gogh Sites Foundation is seeking support from individuals, businesses and other stakeholders to ensure that this cultural heritage can be passed on to future generations. The foundation relies on donations and contributions to achieve its aim. Every form of support is valuable. The Van Gogh Sites Foundation has ANBI cultural status, which makes supporting the foundation particularly attractive.
